leads to Topsail State Park not only is Topsail Beach a more
quaint location than your average busy beaches of Destin but you can cast a
fishing line into one of the rare dune lakes for a chance to reel and a catfish
panfish bass or brim Topsail offers two and a half miles of trails and treks
that will definitely leave you stopping to capture picture-perfect moments along
the way our third stop brings us to one of my all-time favorite spots in Destin
it's called Norriego Point or better known as the Destin Jetties
Scale out onto the rocks and cast a line into the Gulf of Mexico at one of the
best inshore fishing locations of Destin or put on your snorkel and dive below
the sea to swim with the bright and beautiful creatures of the Emerald Coast
whether you're swimming snorkeling or skimboarding you can't go wrong when you
visit Norriego Point one of Destin's most iconic spots for fun fish and

the Gulf of Mexico last on our list but certainly not least is the historically

major ports and the construction of Fort Pickens began finishing in 1834 using
over 21 million bricks Fort Pickens has stood the test of time and now remains a

  1. Lived in Ft Walton/ Destin my whole life and agree that it is a beautiful place. But the traffic is worse than Atlanta or Los Angeles.
Try and come off season…Destin only gets cold in January through Early March.
We have to seasons Summer and winter!

  2. There are also at least five Waffle Houses in the area. Just make sure if you are there late at night to not talk to strangers in the parking lot

  3. I used to live on Pensacola Beach.. and have been down to the end of the island which is where Fort Pickens is..and it is everything that you mentioned HOWEVER you failed to mention that Fort Pickens and most of that area of the Island around Fort Pickens is infested with Rattle Snakes. I MEAN LOTS OF THEM so if anyone goes there beware……PeAcE….

  4. Please check out the only place that RENTS rod and reels and tackle to you in the Destin and 30A area. They do wonderful packages.

It's called Reel30A. They are good people and rent surf fishing equipment when you come for vacation.

  5. Go to 30a even though it's santa Rosa beach through Panama City Beach I lived here my wphole life she's saying stuff that's not even in Destin problaly some retarded tourist

  6. Noreaga point and the jetties are 2 different places near each other. They are rebuilding the point to protect it. I live here and it's amazing!!

  7. Please treat the springs well and pick up your trash! I have lived here my whole life and the two springs I used to visit as a kid are now nasty and green, when they used to be as clear as glass. The spring environment is very fragile and changes rapidly.

  8. As a Floridian, and local destin resident I'm ashamed to say I haven't done some of these! I've been to power up water sports though! I guess I need to do some more exploring around Destin!
